As we reported recently, Stellantis engineers are hard at work addressing issues with the upcoming 2024 Dodge Charger Daytona e-muscle car. The launch of the all-new, all-electric Charger Daytona has been pushed back 90 days to ensure a smooth rollout in its debut year. The Charger Daytona, along with its STLA Large architecture sibling, the all-new, all-electric Jeep® Wagoneer S, is currently undergoing cross-country testing.

Last month, one of our readers spotted both the Dodge Charger Daytona and Jeep Wagoneer S at a Detroit area EVGo charging station during some on-road testing. Recently, YouTuber @swaump caught the same two vehicles in Arizona, with the Charger Daytona parked and the Hydro Blue-painted Wagoneer S in tow.

The new e-muscle car is expected to debut in August, likely coinciding with Roadkill Nights just before the Woodward Dream Cruise. Woodward has historically been a significant launchpad for several special edition Dodge muscle cars, so it would make sense for an official reveal to occur the week before or during the Dream Cruise.

Our dealer sources have provided details about the 2024 lineup, which includes five distinct First Edition configurations: two Daytona R/T models and three Daytona Scat Pack variants. The 2024 First Edition models will feature standard Direct Connection eStage upgrades, which must be purchased separately through the Mopar Direct Connection catalog for the 2025 model year.

We’re excited to see the new Charger Daytona revealed after almost two years since the Dodge Charger Daytona SRT Banshee Concept was unveiled at M1 Concourse in August 2022.
